Last Friday's Fall Line Post, Let it Snow, we talked about snow, who was making it and when they planned on being open. Beating out everyone's predictions a number of areas opened up ahead of their anticipated dates including, Boyne Highlands for some free riding on Saturday, Cannonsburg, Bittersweet and Mt. Brighton also opened up. Here's the latest on who's doing what...

Whether you're a skier or a snowboarder you know of Warren Miller, a name that is synonymous with ski films. After 60 years of composing, filming and editing ski flicks, Warren Miller's Dynasty arrived for 2009. The weather is changing, temps are dropping and it's feeling a bit more like winter is going to be on its way before you know it. With the onset of all these colder temps, I decided it was time to pack up and take a road trip north to Boyne Mountain for the Snowsports Summit and Skitoberfest events.

Face it... winter is on its way! The last day of summer was September 21st and this year it brought snow to many western resorts. Beaver Creek, Keystone, A-basin and Aspen all announced the first snowfall of the season on 9/21/09, ironic? Perhaps! With fall weather in full swing, winter is fast approaching and we know many of you are getting pumped for the 09/10 season. Wondering what's happening at all the resorts across Michigan? Our friends over at the Michigan Snowsports Industry Association (MSIA) have gathered up that information and we're posting it here for you to check out.
