Last Saturday the MiSkiReport crew headed to Birmingham for an opportunity to hang with a couple of influential skiers. Big mountain ripper Ingrid Backstrom and freestyle skier Kristi Leskinen made the trip to the mitten for Matchstick Production's premier of Attack of La Nina at the Birmingham-8.
The event was hosted by Don Thomas Sporthaus that started off early in the evening at the Birmingham-8 with an autograph session with Ingrid and Kristi, followed by Attack of La Nina on the big screen.
Attack of La Nina on the big screen was awesome.
Autograph session with Ingrid Backstrom at Don Thomas.
Once the film was done we made the quick walk down to Don Thomas for the after party and silent auction to benefit the Shane McConkey Foundation. The crowd was amped to hang with Ingrid and Kristi, drinks and a good time were had, and over $1,800 was raised for the foundation.

After throwing a few elbows and wielding a camera around the shop, we had an opportunity to catch up with Ingrid. She seemed pretty pumped to be in Michigan and was intrigued by a place she heard about in the upper peninsula… Mt. Bohemia. We told her about it and extended the offer for her to come back and make tracks with the MiSkiReport crew anytime. Maybe she'll take us up on the offer? Until then, we are left with the memories of our evening with Ingrid and Kristi in Birmingham.
Much love for the grom.
Enjoy the rest of the pics!
