Just a couple miles west of Grayling off of I-75 is Hanson Hills Recreation Area.  Hanson Hills is a community oriented area, operated by the Grayling Recreation Authority.

Hickory Hills is possibly one of Traverse City's best kept secrets.  Owned and operated by the City of Traverse City, Hickory Hills is home to many local skiers and snowboarders.  Hickory Hills began operations in the winter of 1950-51 on a 12 acre parcel of city owned property, with adjacent land leased.

Located just east of Bessemer in Michigan's Upper Peninsula with an annual snowfall of over 17 feet, Indianhead Mountain is a four-season resort destination.  

Located within the city limits of Marquette, on the shores on Lake Superior in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Marquette Mountain is one of the Upper Peninsula's best places to ski and snowboard at.  Marquette Mountain offers up a variety of terrain for skiers and snowboarders of every skill level - with the majority of the trails geared toward the intermediate to advanced.

Missaukee Mountain is located just north of Lake City and is a community based ski area open on the weekends and all of Christmas break.  They offer a bunny hill, beginner runs, intermediate slopes and a challenging expert run all accessed by 3 tow ropes.

Located in Houghton in the Keweenaw Peninsula, Mont Ripley is owned and operated by Michigan Tech University.
Celebrating 75 years, Mont Ripley is Michigan's oldest ski hill.  Averaging 250 inches of dry lake effect snow each year, Mont Ripley is one of the first ski areas in Michigan to open and one of the last to close. 

Located in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Mount Bohemia is a true back country experience.  Just as the sign states out front of Mount Bohemia, No Beginners Allowed.

Made famous by the 1993 flick Aspen Extreme, Mt. Brighton is located in southeast Michigan just outside of Detroit and is called home by many of the local skiers and snowboarders that live in the area.

Located just east of downtown Traverse City, Mt. Holiday has offered affordable skiing and snowboarding for families in the Grand Traverse area since 1949. A true community ski area, owned and operated by a not-for-profit organization and is supported by the local community.
