Hickory Hills
Hickory Hills is possibly one of Traverse City’s best kept secrets. Owned and operated by the City of Traverse City, Hickory Hills is home to many local skiers and snowboarders. Hickory Hills began operations in the winter of 1950-51 on a 12 acre parcel of city owned property, with adjacent land leased.
The original lodge was constructed sometime in the mid 1950’s and is still in use today – It features a snack bar and fireplace for those looking to warm up after time spent on the slopes. Hours of operations are minimal, mostly in the evenings during the week and all day Saturday and partial day Sunday. To our knowledge rental is not available and ticket rates do vary depending on the day of the week, check with the area before heading out.
