On February 12, 2010 – all eyes will be directed toward Vancouver, Canada for the 2010 Olympic Games and the Unitied States Snowboard Team is hoping for a repeat of podium spots they cinched at the 2006 Olympics in Torino, Italy. This February, Team USA will again be sporting fresh garb from Burton. Sticking to Burton’s ethos of being “rider driven”, they listened to the riders and created a uniform that fit everyone’s needs.
Burton’s founder, Jake Burton chimes in and states “For the creation of the US Snowboard Team uniform, we listened carefully to the riders’ needs and used their input to ensure that the final fit, fabrics and overall design would maximize their performances and take these riders to the podium. It was also absolutely critical to ensure these Olympic uniforms were worthy of bearing the Burton name.”
A unique partnership was drafted up between the official fabric of the 2010 U.S. Snowboarding Team’s outerwear, Gore-Tex, and Burton allowing for the advances in technical designs that will allow the riders to push the limits of their sport, while staying comfortable across variying conditions.
