Located in the western portion of the Upper Peninsula, Indianhead Mountain announced the release of their iPhone App. To our knowledge they are the first ski resort in Michigan to have their own app. We immediately downloaded it and took it for a spin – heres our take on it.
Our initial thoughts are that the app is fairly quick to load up, options are simple, straight forward and to the point, plus it’s FREE! iPod Touch users of course are going to need access to WiFi in order to take full advantage of the app, which is a given for just about every snow reporting and news app out there. We give Indianhead Mountain props for moving quickly this season and getting their app up and operational! If you are an avid Upper Peninsula skier/rider, we definitely suggest snagging this one!

- Snow Reports: Showing new snow within the last 24 hours, last 7 days and the total base depth. Also included are the number of open trails and lifts.
- Live Cam: Shows you the live action via their webcam
- Video Gallery: Brings you all the latest videos from Indianhead, including weekly mountain reports right to your iPhone or iPod touch.
- Weather: Provides you with a great overview of the daily forecast plus a full 6 day forecast with highs/lows.
- Directions: Using Google Maps, the app can sync with your current location and provide you with directions.
- Facebook: Ties in Indianhead Mountain’s Facebook fan page.
