March 2nd was a very different and special day at Pine Knob in Clarkston, Michigan. As many of you know, we rarley make it to April 1st in Southeast Michigan. So, we had to have gaper day a little earlier than normal. The turn out was great with the three terrain parks full of gapers. The weather was less than ideal with a temperature hovering around 29 degrees. Regardless, it was a day full of laughs, smiles, and endless fun.
Everybody made sure to dig through their mom's closet, the garage, and even the salvation army to find the perfect outfit. Outerwear consisted of copious amounts of neon, bathing suits, hawaiian shirts, and jeans. There were several pairs of 1970s K2 Extremes and even a pair of cross country skis!
Pine Knob's park crew had all of the jumps, rails, and boxes in tip top shape. The jump line was filled with all sorts of tricks. There were plenty of daffys, shiftys, and spread eagles. Although the fan favorite of the day were train lines through the park. We even made a few trips through the moguls and the bunny hill!
