The Inspired Demo Tour hit Michigan this past week with the crew stopping off at several different southeast Michigan resorts. They brought fun, swag, big crowds, and even pro skiers! The Inspired crew is comprised of a group of professional skiers who are sponsored by Inspired Media Concepts, which is owned by Tanner Hall. Over the 2012-2013 winter season, they planned a trip across the Midwest that consisted of stopping at 50 ski resorts in 66 days.
From January 24th through the 27th the crew made stops at Mt. Brighton, Alpine Valley, Pine Knob, and Mt. Holly. They were very excited to be in the Detroit area and enjoyed some Michigan hospitality this past week.
A huge amount of fans and skiers came out to shred with the pros at all of the different stops. The pros were very interactive with everyone and even played a few games of SNOW with local skiers. Pine Knob seemed to have the biggest turn out of the first four Michigan stops. With the crew stoked on the large crowd, Pine Knob management even shut down the park for a private shoot.
After the four stops, it was on to a meet and greet at Don Thomas Sporthaus in Birmingham. The meet and greet got started around 6pm on Monday night with just Phil ‘B-Dog’ Casabon and Paul ‘B-Paul’ Bergeron. At about 6:30pm a familiar face walked in the door. It was the recent X-Games Big Air gold medal winner, Henrik Harlaut. As Henrik walked through the door everybody at Don Thomas stood up and put their hands together. He had just flown in from Aspen after winning the gold medal less than 48 hours before.
The event was a great success with a big showing from the local ski community. Henrik, Paul, and Phil talked with all of the fans that came through and signed helmets, skis, posters. you name it. The atmosphere at Don Thomas was quite incredible with so many kids pumped to meet and take a picture with their favorite pro. Not to mention, an X-Games gold medal winner. The Inspired Demo Tour is not only spreading knowledge of their brand, but is truly getting people stoked on the sport of skiing all together.
Did you miss them at their first few stops in Michigan? Don’t worry; they still have three stops in the Upper Peninsula next month.
