Mont Ripley Ski Hill

Located in Houghton in the Keweenaw Peninsula, Mont Ripley is owned and operated by Michigan Tech University.
Celebrating 75 years, Mont Ripley is Michigan’s oldest ski hill.  Averaging 250 inches of dry lake effect snow each year, Mont Ripley is one of the first ski areas in Michigan to open and one of the last to close.

Mont Ripley is on of the midwest’s premier racing centers for downhill racing and is home to the MTI ski team, Houghton HS Ski Team, Hancock HS Ski Team and Chassell ski team.
Ticket and rental prices are consistent all season long, with half and full day tickets available.  If you are a current MTU student, your ticket is free.

Affordable, high-quality instruction is available for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.  Cross Country Sports is on site at Ripley to handle all of your ski and snowboard gear needs.
