Having grown up in a small northern Michigan resort town, the ski community was a pretty tight group and coming up through the ranks of high school ski racing your community grew exponentially. Competing with other regional schools at their resorts really opened up your eyes to the “who’s who” of talented skiers in the state. For those who grew up ski racing in the mid-to-late nineties and early 2000’s even will know of the King name.

Hailing out of the Central Lake area, the King brothers, Jack, Mike and Frank are all rippers. Jack was coming on the scene toward the end of my racing career and was making waves. Shortly thereafter it was Mike and Jack’s time to turn up the wick. Fast forward a number of years it’s been cool to see these guy’s progression in the sport. With a couple competitive ski racing titles under his belt, Mike has gone on to be a killer freeskier, nailing technical lines and amping up the speed.

Not to hide in the shadows, Frank has been honing his video skills and putting together some edits that should not go unnoticed. The latest from the duo, King of the Road, takes us on a jaunt through Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and BC in search of some of the best riding last season with the Revision Skis crew.
