If you recall from our previous post, last weekend was packed with ski & snowboard madness in Traverse City.  We kicked things off right and stood out in the cold and rain with the rest of the deal-seekers looking to score big at the Traverse City Ski & Snowboard Swap.  Part-2 of our weekend adventures included a stop off at the Snowvemberfest rail jam.  The 6th annual event was hosted at Mt. Holiday and has become a staple in the ski and snowboard community for quite some time now.
Snowvemberfest 6

Snowvemberfest is a true jam style comp, with skiers and snowboarders taking as many runs as they can in a given period of time.  This year, Mt. Holiday and the Snowvemberfest crew kicked things up and improved the run-ins and rail/box combos, complete with airbags… just in case.  The vibe was super chill with competitors amped up to throw down their best runs, while spectators took in the action from the ‘beer garden’, kicking back $2 PBR’s by the fire pit and enough Monster to take down a middle school.

At the end of the night everyone had an opportunity to snag something from the huge swag toss that was put together by major sponsors, Nordica, Giro, Orage, Monster and Armada.  First place winners from the various age categories took away some serious loot like new Giro helmets, swag and cases of Monster.  Snowvemberfest was a great way to round out an awesome weekend of getting our stoke on for the season.
